Knee, Hip & Leg Pain

Is Knee Pain Holding You Back?

If stairs, hills, long walks, or squats have become painful or uncertain, you're not alone and you're not stuck. Many people feel their knee is stiff, weak, or "bone-on-bone" and fear it's only downhill from here. Whether you're recovering from injury, managing arthritis, or trying to stay active and avoid surgery, this approach gives you a new way forward.

This service is ideal if you:

  • Are an active adult (often 55–75) who wants to keep walking, gardening, golfing or travelling
  • Struggle with knee stiffness, aching, or pain on stairs, squatting, kneeling or walking
  • Have been told it's arthritis or bone-on-bone and you’re worried about surgery
  • Want a smarter recovery after an injury
  • Tried physio, braces, YouTube exercises, or medications with short-lived results
  • Feel stuck in a cycle of rest–flare–repeat

Not Just the Knee

Your knee sits between your hip and foot and it rarely misbehaves on its own. This service blends expert physiotherapy and Whole-Body Alignment to address the root causes of load, compensation, and pain.

We assess:

  • Local knee issues (ligament, meniscus, tendon, joint, nerve)
  • Whole-leg alignment: how your hip, knee, ankle and foot share the load
  • Everyday movements: stairs, walking, standing, squatting, sitting
  • Lifestyle, work, and goals so your care fits real life

We build a tailored plan using:

  • Physio-informed rehab strategies (diagnosis, referral, hands-on where needed)
  • Whole-Body Alignment exercises to reprogram how your body moves
  • Education and coaching so you understand what helps and what doesn’t

What to Expect

We start with a 60–90 minute consultation to deeply understand your history, goals and movement patterns.

Your session may include:

  • Functional tests (stairs, walking, gym or work tasks)
  • Whole-body movement screen
  • Posture and leg alignment analysis (hip–knee–foot)
  • Hands-on physiotherapy assessment
  • Personalised movement plan via app or print
  • A first Whole-Body Alignment menu (if appropriate)

Ongoing care includes:

  • Progress reviews and re-testing
  • In-clinic sessions (online available if you're travelling or live away)
  • Practical coaching to fit exercises into daily life
  • Online or in-clinic sessions (flexible)

What This Helps With

This approach helps people:

  • Walk further and more comfortably, even on hills or uneven ground
  • Feel safer and more stable on stairs
  • Return to meaningful activities like gardening, travel, golf or the gym
  • Better understand how to care for their knee long term
  • Make progress with squatting, kneeling and full function where realistic

Why This Is Different

Unlike many approaches that focus just on the sore spot, this combines:

  • Expert physiotherapy with experience managing structural injuries and chronic pain
  • Whole-Body Alignment to reduce knee load and improve full-body balance
  • Sequenced, structured home plans not random exercises
  • Visual tools and education to help you understand what’s happening

And it’s delivered with care, collaboration and realism, no gimmicks, no empty promises.
